When an apprentice becomes journey level, collect the issued certificate and review the team’s supervision arrangement. Do not infer issuance from program completion alone. At renewal, retain the CE category evidence and verify the updated L&I record before replacing the previous expiration date in the employee’s file.

- Current status and the expiration or registration period shown by the authority.
- The supporting document, verification date and accountable review owner.
- Any unresolved scope or assignment question, with a follow-up date.
