What is employee certification tracking?
Employee certification tracking is a structured register of certification holders, credential types, evidence, status, and any applicable recertification dates. It helps a team distinguish a confirmed certification from a missing document, pending review, or upcoming renewal.
Do not force every certification into an expiration model
Some certifications expire and others do not. QualiRoster supports both patterns, keeping renewal logic only where a real expiration date exists. For example, the U.S. EPA states that Section 608 Technician Certification credentials do not expire.
- Store non-expiring credentials without a made-up renewal date.
- Track issuer and evidence even when no recertification is due.
- Use reminders only for records with an applicable deadline.
Make certification status reviewable
A status should be traceable to the recorded evidence and dates. QualiRoster keeps document submission and human review separate from the accepted record, which helps administrators see what is confirmed and what still needs attention.
